§ 2-3-25. Permit—Generally.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to operate a food service establishment, food outlet, food processing plant, shellfish establishment or abattoir house within the county without first obtaining and maintaining a valid permit or written approval from the director. Such a permit shall be issued only after an inspection of the premises of such facility by the director demonstrates compliance with requirements established pursuant to F.S. section 381.0072, this article and other applicable laws of the department of health or other similar agencies, and the payment of such fees as may be authorized and required by the board.

    (b)

    Renewal permits shall be issued only after an inspection of the premises or facility has revealed compliance with the requirements of this article and other applicable laws.

    (c)

    Half-a-year permits shall start on April first of each year and shall be half of the authorized fee.

    (d)

    Permits shall be conspicuously displayed within the establishment.
