§ 4-7-268. Levy of assessments.

An assessment for maintenance costs is hereby authorized to be imposed upon each parcel, tract and lot lying contiguous to any canals or waterways within the unit for services and facilities provided by the unit. The annual assessment shall be levied through a non-ad valorem assessment as part of the tax collector's bill. The billing and collection function will be the responsibility of the Charlotte County tax collector's office.
