Sections 4-7-2—4-7-8 were derived from Laws of Fla., Chs. 78-485 and 84-403, as amended by Ord. No. 90-75, § 1, adopted Dec. 8, 1990, which authorized the county to create special taxing districts for canal, waterway, and channel maintenance. These acts were repealed by § 4 of Laws of Fla., Ch. 91-361, which also abolished all special taxing districts created pursuant to the authority of Ch. 78-485 and transferred their assets, liabilities and obligations to the county.
