§ 4-3-272. Purpose.

The purpose of the unit is to fund fire protection and rescue services (hereinafter collectively "fire protection services" or "fire services") to be provided to properties located within the boundaries of the unit from funds derived from special assessments within the unit. Fire protection services shall be provided by a fire/rescue service provider as designated and obtained by the governing body of the unit.
