§ 4-3-213. Governing body.

  • The board of county commissioners (hereinafter the "board" or "governing body") shall be the governing body of the unit. The board shall be empowered to levy and collect ad valorem taxes for the purpose of funding the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office to provide law enforcement services within the unit to the extent permitted and in the manner provided by the constitution and general law of the state.
