§ 4-3-16.1. Service outside jurisdictional territory.

The department shall also be empowered to provide fire and rescue services outside its jurisdictional territory upon authorization of the governing body, provided that those services are funded by sources other than properties contained within the department. Under no circumstances shall properties within the department be assessed to finance fire services provided to areas outside its territory.
