§ 3-6-22. Compliance with permit; inspections.

Latest version.
  • After the issuance of a permit under this division, it shall be unlawful for the permittee to do any work on the public property affected except in accordance with the terms and conditions of such permit. Upon completion of any such permitted work, the permittee shall notify the engineering department, which will cause an inspection to be made for the purpose of determining whether such work is in conformance with the terms of the permit. If such work is acceptable, the inspector shall endorse his approval on the permit. If the work is found unacceptable, the inspector shall make such recommendations to the permittee as are necessary to insure the conformance of the work with the terms of the permit, and such recommendation shall be followed and the work required thereby completed before the expiration of the permit or any extension thereof. Any failure to complete such work within the term or extended term of the permit shall constitute a violation of this Code. If the work is found unacceptable upon the completion of the permittee of the work required by the recommendation of the inspector, of if for any reason the permittee desires an interim inspection, the permittee shall request reinspection and, as a condition thereto, pay to the public works division a reinspection fee, in the amount established by resolution by the board of county commissioners, for each such required reinspection.
