§ 2-3-81. Establishment of medical advisory committee (MAC).

(a)

The board of county commissioners hereby establishes the Charlotte County Medical Advisory Committee (hereinafter referred to as MAC) which shall consist of one (1) representative from each of the hospitals serving as a primary receiving facility for Charlotte County EMS. The representative shall either be a board-certified emergency room physician licensed to practice in Florida or a registered nurse. Emergency room director and shall be subject to the approval of the board of county commissioners.

(b)

The members shall serve at the pleasure of their respective hospitals and the board of county commissioners for a term of two (2) years.

(c)

The Charlotte County medical director shall serve as chair of MAC and shall preside over all meetings.
