§ 1-1-11. Certain ordinances not affected by Code.

  • Nothing in this Code or the ordinance adopting this Code shall be construed to repeal or otherwise affect the validity of any of the following:

    (1)

    Any ordinance providing a comprehensive plan, or any ordinance rezoning specific property or amending the zoning map or granting variances or exceptions to zoning or subdivision ordinances;

    (2)

    Any ordinance promising or guaranteeing the payment of money by or to the county or authorizing the issuance of any bonds of the county, or any evidence of the county's indebtedness, or any contract or obligation assumed by the county;

    (3)

    Any ordinance relating to county employee positions, classifications or salaries;

    (4)

    Any right or franchise granted by any ordinance of the county to any person, or any modification thereof;

    (5)

    Any ordinance dedicating, naming, establishing, locating, relocating, opening, paving, widening, vacating, etc., any street or public way in the county;

    (6)

    Any appropriation ordinance;

    (7)

    Any ordinance consistent with this Code levying or imposing taxes;

    (8)

    Any ordinance establishing and prescribing the street grades of any street in the county;

    (9)

    Any ordinance providing for local improvements and making assessments therefor;

    (10)

    Any ordinance, prior to any referendum to which it is subject; or

    (11)

    Any temporary or special ordinance.

    All such ordinances are hereby recognized as continuing in full force and effect to the same extent as if set out at length herein.
