§ 1-10-342. Appointment of hearing officers.

  • The board is hereby authorized to appoint hearing officers for the purpose of conducting hearings involving regulated companies on such matters as the board may designate, including, but not limited to, quality of service, rates, tolls, fees, charges, rules, regulations, conditions of service, and franchise and certificate applications, extensions, renewals, and terminations. The hearing officer may conduct all evidentiary hearings, as well as hearings on motions regarding substantive and procedural matters. Specifically, the board may refer any matter requiring an evidentiary or procedural hearing listed in the Code sections specified in Table 1 attached hereto, to a hearing officer for the conduct of the hearing. As such, the hearing officer will function in place of the board for all matters referred to the hearing officer.
