§ 1-10-341. Definitions.

For purposes of this article, the following words and terms shall have the definition and meaning ascribed to them in this section.

Board means the board of county commissioners of Charlotte County, Florida.

Company regulated by Charlotte County or regulated company means and includes any cable television company regulated under Chapter 1-10, Article VI, Charlotte County Code; any private toll bridge company regulated under Chapter 3-6, Article III, Charlotte County Code; any water or sewer company regulated under Chapter 3-8, Charlotte County Code; and any solid waste collection and disposal company regulated under Chapter 4-4, Charlotte County Code.

Hearing officer means such person or persons as may be appointed by the board to conduct hearings authorized under this article or other Charlotte County ordinances pertaining to regulated companies.
