§ 1-10-305. Application review.

  • Prior to issuance of any permit, the county administrator or his designee shall forward a copy of the application described in section 1-10-304 herein to the sheriff's office in order to give that agency an opportunity to review that application. The county administrator or his designee shall also furnish a copy of the application to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, together with a written request for information regarding existence of any criminal history for all persons listed on the application. Unless the county administrator or his designee receive written communication from either of those agencies within thirty (30) days of the date he transmits a copy of that application to those agencies, in which either of those agencies indicates there is good cause for denying the application or for delaying its processing, the county administrator or his designee shall issue the requested permit. If either agency states there is good cause for denying the application for the permit, it shall specify the grounds for that conclusion in its written communication.
